, a House and Senate conference committee to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act
will hold its first meeting in HVC-201 of the Capitol Visitor Center. At the first meeting, members of the conference committee are expected to deliver opening statements.

Earlier today, the House approved a motion to go to conference with the Senate on separate proposals to reauthorize K-12 education law. Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) also appointed earlier today the House Republican members who will serve on the joint conference committee.
