Kline Statement on February Jobs Report

House Education and the Workforce Committee Chairman John Kline (R-MN) issued the following statement after the Department of Labor released unemployment data for February 2016:

Today’s jobs report shows that more Americans are back to work and our workforce continues to improve. However, it’s also a reminder of why we need to do better. Exceeding low expectations is not good enough for the tens of millions of workers still sitting on the sidelines; it’s not good enough for the nearly six million Americans who need full-time jobs but can only find part-time work; and it’s not good enough for those families whose incomes remain flat. That’s why we will continue to hold the administration accountable for regulatory policies that stifle our economy and why we will continue efforts to develop a pro-growth agenda that will help foster the opportunity and prosperity working families need.
