Multiemployer Pension Reforms

In 2014, the bipartisan Multiemployer Pension Reform Act was signed into law by former President Obama to strengthen the multiemployer pension system. The law provides trustees with the tools they need to rescue failing plans, protect the savings of workers and retirees, and prevent a costly taxpayer bailout.
