Whistleblower Form

Report Waste, Fraud, Abuse, and Other Misconduct

Whistleblowers play a vital role in helping the Committee on Education and the Workforce conduct its constitutionally mandated oversight responsibilities by reporting tips related to the jurisdiction of the Committee. To see the Committee’s specific areas of focus please click here.

The right for the public—including public employees—to communicate with Congress is established in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Various U.S. laws prohibit retaliation against employees for providing information to Congress, including many Executive Branch employees, contractors, grantees, and those in the private sector. However, individuals still take serious risks when they make allegations of wrongdoing.

To protect your communications with the Committee, do not contact us using work resources or while you are working. Further, consider consulting an attorney experienced in representing whistleblowers before you make a disclosure.

If you have information that you believe would help the Committee, please contact us. You do not have to be an employee. Information from individuals who are not federal government or private sector employees may be helpful to the Committee, and we encourage you to contact us as well.

If you wish to report waste, fraud, abuse, and other misconduct, you may fill out the form below, contact us by telephone at (202) 225-4527, or email EWR.Oversight@mail.house.gov.

Do not submit classified information or other information barred from release through this form or by email.

We respect your confidentiality, and we will use your contact information only to follow up with you regarding your submission. You may submit anonymously. However, please be aware that anonymous disclosures may limit our ability to respond or meaningfully use the information that you provide.
