Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), chairwoman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), chairman of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, issued the following joint statement after President Trump announced the nomination of John Ring to fill a vacancy on the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

“The National Labor Relations Board needs strong, experienced, and objective leaders who will make the protection of workers and job creators, not special interests, the Board’s top priority. We applaud President Trump for his nomination of John Ring to serve as a member of the NLRB. We urge our Senate colleagues to swiftly confirm Mr. Ring so that he can join the Board’s majority in continuing the work they have already started to restore common sense and balance to the NLRB.”
