Committee Statements

I have had the opportunity to review the proposed rules for the 111^th Congress, and I plan to support their adoption. There is one change in particular that I believe will make our Committee more transparent, and that’s the requirement that all amendments considered by this committee will be posted to the majority website along with the outcome of the vote within three days.

Previously, only those amendments that were adopted were posted to the majority’s website, leaving out critical information about the full scope of debate. This is a change that I requested, and I appreciate the Chairman’s support.
