Kline Highlights New Venue for Americans to Speak Out on Education and Workplace Issues
WASHINGTON, D.C.,
May 25, 2010
Rep. John Kline (R-MN), the U.S. House Education and Labor Committee’s senior Republican member, issued the following statement today regarding launch of AmericaSpeakingOut.com, a new website created by House Republicans as part of the broader America Speaking Out initiative to engage the American people in a dialogue about policy ideas and priorities, including those that affect students, teachers, workers, and families:
“Good governing begins by listening. With AmericaSpeakingOut.com, Republicans are inviting the American people to make their voices heard, share their concerns, and offer ideas to help create jobs, empower workers, and improve educational opportunities. From health care and economic growth to parental choice in education and college affordability, the Education and Labor Committee oversees issues that affect Americans from all walks and during all stages of life. That’s why committee Republicans are so energized about this opportunity for citizen engagement. I look forward to hearing from the people, and I welcome every American to speak out on their priorities – particularly those that affect our schools and our workplaces.” NOTE: AmericaSpeakingOut.com was launched today by House Republicans to solicit input from the American people on a range of issues, including those relating to American workplaces and school systems. The website is part of a broad-based effort by Republicans to engage the American people in defining a new policy agenda. # # # |
