Kline Welcomes New Members and Announces Subcommittee Chairs

Rep. John Kline (R-MN), chairman-designate of the U.S. House Education and Labor Committee, issued the following statement today welcoming new Republican members to the panel and announcing the selection of subcommittee chairs for the 112th Congress:

“A positive vision for our classrooms and workplaces is essential to America’s economic competitiveness and long-term success. I am pleased to welcome a strong slate of new members to help shape that vision, and I look forward to their fresh perspectives as we seek to enact commonsense ideas that will support the nation’s schools and workplaces.

The committee’s leadership slate and the jurisdiction and makeup of its subcommittees will be ratified by the full committee membership in January. Additional members and organizational changes may be announced until that time.
