***MEDIA ADVISORY*** Subcommittee to Examine Federal Paperwork Burdens on K-12 Schools

On Tuesday, March 15 at 10:00 a.m., the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education, chaired by Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA), will hold a hearing entitled, "Education Regulations: Burying Schools in Paperwork." The hearing will take place in room 2175 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Schools that accept federal funding for education are obligated to fulfill burdensome and duplicative paperwork requirements. These intrusive regulations often take away valuable resources that should be dedicated to strengthening the nation’s education system. Tuesday’s hearing will provide subcommittee members the opportunity to examine the adverse impact that extensive federal regulations can have on teachers, administrators, and students.
