Yesterday, the House Committee on Education and the Workforce held a hearing to examine a recent proposal by the National Labor Relations Board to rush union elections. The NLRB's proposal will undermine an employer's right to communicate with his or her employees and cripple a worker's ability to make a fully informed decision in a union election. At a time when more than 14 million workers are unemployed, stiffling employers' free speech and undermining workers' free choice is the wrong direction to take the nation's workforce.
