Foxx, Walberg Applaud Executive Action on Obamacare
WASHINGTON, D.C.,
January 20, 2017
Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), chairwoman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), chairman of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, issued the following joint statement following President Trump's executive action on Obamacare: We made a promise to the American people to repeal the failed health care law and provide a stable transition to a patient-centered system. The president’s action today is part of the process to deliver on that promise. Our health care system is fundamentally broken, and Americans from all walks of life are struggling to afford the quality coverage they and their families need. We look forward to working with the new administration to repair the damage Obamacare has done and advance positive reforms that will lead to lower costs, more choices, and more freedom for every American. # # # |
