“All children must be safe in school, and students and families need to feel confident that schools are secure environments. Background: Chairwoman Foxx and Ranking Member Bobby Scott (D-VA) recently sent a letter requesting action from the House Appropriations Committee to support local efforts to enhance student and school safety measures by funding the Student Support and Academic Enrichment Grants (SSAEG) as authorized in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). # # # |
