Our country is currently facing a massive trucker shortage. Yet President Biden’s new authoritarian federal vaccine mandate provides no exemption for the trucking industry. Forcing a truck driver, who spends most of his time alone to get the COVID-19 vaccine or face losing his job is insane. 

President Biden’s willingness to exacerbate a trucking shortage, in the middle of a supply chain crisis shows just how far he is willing to go to appease the far left wing of his party. 

According to The American Trucking Association, 80,000 more drivers are needed to keep pace with demand, reports the Wall Street Journal. Trucks haul more than 70 percent of domestic cargo. With increased demand and a worker shortage—this is no time to force even one qualified driver out of the workforce. 

Besides being completely unlawful, President Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate could be the straw that breaks the camel’s back in the trucking industry—and right before Christmas. If your kids’ presents don’t arrive on time this year, don’t blame Santa, blame the President who stole Christmas.  

Compliance for Biden’s authoritarian vaccine mandate begins on January 4, 2022. Our country is already facing several crises including a workforce crisis, and with this national OSHA mandate in full effect, the crises will continue to get worse. 

Instead of empowering American workers and job creators, Democrats are weaponizing the federal bureaucracy to turn employers into the vaccine and testing police on behalf of the federal government, which will have devastating consequences.

This federal government mandate is bad for workers, bad for businesses, and bad for the economy. This isn’t “building back better”—this is tyranny.
