Biden’s So-Called National Parents Council Eats Crow

Today Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) released the following statement after Biden’s Department of Education disbanded its partisan national parents council following lawsuits from multiple parental rights groups: “Claiming President Biden’s National Parents and Families Council was about parents is a new level of Orwellian gaslighting. Under President Biden, parents and students always play second fiddle to interest groups and teachers unions. This council was made up of a cadre of radical left-wing activist groups—80 percent of whom were on record as Democrat donors. This council was little more than political theater. “The truth is that the Biden administration believes education bureaucrats should be in charge of children’s education, not parents. Read the room Mr. President—parents want the federal government to get out of the way. “I commend Parents Defending Education and America First Legal for this win. We have their federal lawsuit to thank for getting this hypocritical council shut down. Its parental rights advocates like this that are saving K-12 education. Well done!”### |
