Foxx, House Republican Leadership Hold First Signing Ceremony of the 118th Congress

WASHINGTON – Today, Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) joined Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA), and Members of the House Republican Conference to hold a signing ceremony for H.J. Res. 30, a joint resolution that would nullify the Biden administration’s rule encouraging retirement fiduciaries to consider environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors when investing and exercising shareholder rights.

This legislation—which now heads to President Biden’s desk—is the first to be passed by the House and Senate in the 118th Congress.
