WASHINGTON – On Wednesday, June 21, at 10:15 a.m., the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, chaired by Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), will hold a hearing titled “Competition and Transparency: The Pathway Forward for a Stronger Health Care Market.”
“One of the greatest challenges the health care market faces is rapid consolidation, which obscures the prices and quality of services. Thanks to Federal Government overreach, Americans are missing new opportunities to increase innovation, raise the quality of care, and access affordable drug prices,” said Chairman Good. “Patients and consumers should have all information necessary for them to make the best health care choice possible. Congress can start by holding pharmacy benefit managers accountable for unfair drug pricing schemes, requiring honest billing from hospitals for the services they provide, and strengthening insurance price transparency rules.” What: Subcommittee hearing titled "Competition and Transparency: The Pathway Forward for a Stronger Health Care Market" When: 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 Where: 2175 Rayburn House Office Building Press: The meeting is open to the press and will be live-streamed on the Committee's YouTube page. ### |
