@EdWorkforceCmte to Hold Markup on Bills to Improve Health Care Transparency — Tomorrow at 10:15 A.M.

WASHINGTON — Tomorrow, at 10:15 a.m., the Education and the Workforce Committee will hold a markup to consider four bills: H.R. 4509Transparency in Billing ActH.R. 4507Transparency in Coverage ActH.R. 4527Health DATA Act, and H.R. 4508Hidden Fee Disclosure Act. 
 
“For too long, patients have been left in the dark, unable to make informed health care decisions which has left them paying higher costs. The Committee is rectifying these issues by marking up four bipartisan bills designed to increase transparency, promote accurate billing practices, and expand health care options for workers and their families,” said Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC)“By putting forth legislative measures that codify transparent practices, Republicans are delivering on our promise to provide Americans with lower costs and more options.”
