Tomorrow, September 28, at 10:15 a.m., the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development, chaired by Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT), will hold a hearing titled “How SCOTUS’s Decision on Race-Based Admissions is Shaping University Policies.”
"The Supreme Court delivered a resounding defeat for racism when it deemed race-based college admissions unconstitutional," said Chairman Owens. "Ending the era of affirmative action in higher education is of the utmost importance as we work to build a system that rewards perseverance, merit, and hard work rather than skin color. I am looking forward to gaveling in our subcommittee to examine how this landmark ruling will positively shape university policies now and in the future."
