WASHINGTON–Today, Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement regarding the Senate’s confirmation of President Biden’s nominee Jessica Looman to serve as Administrator of the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division (WHD):
“Jessica Looman is a union crony who has spent her career doing the bidding of Big Labor. With Looman at the helm of WHD, I expect her to mirror Acting Secretary Su’s approach to running the agency: shoddy rulemaking, regulatory overreach, and a complete and total disregard for the rule of law. America’s workers and employers want freedom, not more out-of-touch bureaucrats who think they know better than the people they serve.”
