Bean to Hold Hearing on Preparing Students for Success in the Skills-Based Economy — Tomorrow at 10:15 A.M.

WASHINGTON — Tomorrow, at 10:15 a.m., the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education, chaired by Rep. Aaron Bean (R-FL), will hold a hearing titled: “Preparing Students for Success in the Skills-Based Economy.” 
 
“In order to prepare students for the demands of the workforce, we must equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to compete. Career and technical education (CTE) is essential in an evolving skills-based economy,” said Chairman Bean. “This hearing will explore how CTE programs, including those supported under the Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, can be better integrated into K-12 education to give young Americans the tools they need to succeed in postsecondary education and in-demand careers.”
