@EdWorkforceCmte Will Mark Up Bills to Bolster Workforce and Academic Freedom

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, March 21, at 10:15 a.m., the Education and the Workforce Committee will mark up H.J. Res. 116, a Congressional Review Act resolution to nullify the Biden administration’s independent contractor rule; H.R. 6418, the Empower Charter School Educators to Lead Act; H.R. 3724, the Accreditation for College Excellence Act of 2023; and H.R. 7683, the Respecting the First Amendment on Campus Act.

“The Biden administration, bureaucrats, and radical education administrators are holding students and workers hostage with their we-know-better-than-you policies. It’s no surprise that Americans’ confidence in education is plummeting across the board and workers are struggling to meet the demands of a changing economy,” said Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC). “These four bills focus on removing barriers in the lives of students and workers that restrict choice, limit Constitutional rights, and impose values antithetical to American exceptionalism.”
