WASHINGTON – Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement after the Biden-Harris administration announced a final rule for Head Start, a program with a history of fundamental problems:
 
“By finalizing the Head Start rule, the Biden-Harris administration insists on trying to overfund a program with over a thousand known incidents of child abuse. The effort smells like an attempt to form Head Start educators into a unionized political block. Political patronage should never take precedent over children’s lives.
 
“After fighting for forced medical interventions on minors, men’s ability to compete in girls’ sports, and now knowingly funding child abusers, the Biden-Harris administration needs to end its crusade against the well-being of our nation's children.”
