Chairwoman Foxx Applauds Congresswoman Stefanik's Nomination to Serve as UN Ambassador

WASHINGTON – Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement celebrating the nomination of U.S. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to serve in the Trump administration as ambassador to the United Nations:

“Congresswoman Stefanik has proven that she’s a fighter and anyone who has seen her in action in our hearing room knows that. She refuses to let anti-American values fester on college campuses, she refuses to let government bureaucracy keep Americans from reaching their full potential, and most importantly, she refuses to let the status quo go unchallenged. The United Nations is past due for a wake-up call, and I can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes. I’m proud to call her a colleague and a friend.”
