WASHINGTON – Education and the Workforce Committee Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement after the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas invalidated the Biden-Harris overtime rule:

“Once again, the Biden-Harris administration has had its hand slapped for government overreach. Is it ever going to learn?

“The Biden-Harris economy is crushing everyday Americans with burdensome regulations that stifle growth and innovation—the overtime rule is just one of many bad policies.

“American workers and businesses deserve better. This unworkable rule is drowning job creators in excessive compliance costs and in turn hurting the U.S. economy. I am pleased to see the court recognize that the administration—once again—overstepped.”
