Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) issued the following statement on President Trump firing National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo:

“The NLRB is supposed to be an impartial agency that handles disputes between employers and employees fairly under the National Labor Relations Act. But Abruzzo’s reign distorted this mission, weaponizing the agency to advance a radical agenda. From undermining employer free speech to engaging in misconduct and failing to conduct fair and impartial elections, the NLRB has failed. This has undermined Americans’ right to earn a living as they see fit. It is past time this organization return to its role as a neutral arbiter.”
