Today, Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) released the following statement in response to the Department of Labor’s January jobs report:

“Unfortunately, the January jobs report was delayed as our nation grapples with the fallout of Democrats’ partisan attempts to shut down parts of our federal government. Despite this, our economy is booming as our economy gained a huge number of jobs last month. Republicans and the Trump administration are continuing to drive the kinds of policies that led to significant job growth over the last year—helping more workers and businesses achieve the American Dream. We will never stop fighting to ensure our economy and workforce are strong, and to lower costs for the American people.”
