ICYMI: Chairman Walberg Discusses Foreign Espionage on College Campuses

In Case You Missed It,Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) joined NewsNation’s Blake Burman to expose the efforts of America’s adversaries, including the Chinese Communist Party, to infiltrate American universities to steal critical research and undermine American values.
On deterring foreign interference on college campuses:

“We passed the DETERRENT Act… that puts stipulations on reporting any typeof monetary award [or] presentation that comes from any country to a university or college… but $0 on-up for from malign countries like China, North Korea, Russia, and others to make sure that we know what's taking place.”

On CCP efforts to harass and intimidate students:

"We had a student today from Stanford University, who has been followed, who has been harassed… because she—as the Stanford Review editor—undertook an investigation into Chinese involvement at Stanford…

“What she found caused great concern within her, and ultimately she began receiving pushback from the Chinese Communist Party… [She] was intimidated, and ultimately they tried to stop her from moving forward. Stanford has not helped her...”
