Today, Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) hosted elementary, middle, and high school student winners of the Presidential Artificial Intelligence (AI) Challenge, a national competition that recognizes young Americans using AI to tackle real-world challenges.

The event comes as the Trump administration advances a national effort to expand AI education and workforce development through the President’s recent Executive Order on Advancing AI Education for American Youth.

Student winners from across the country demonstrated their award-winning projects and discussed how they are using AI to drive innovation, creativity, and problem-solving. Members of Congress, staff, and visitors had the opportunity to engage directly with the students and learn how their creativity and technical skills are contributing to America’s leadership in AI.

“Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping how we learn, work, and problem-solve, and the young innovators we welcomed today truly demonstrate where the future is headed,” said Chairman Walberg. “Whether they are enhancing local services, supporting neighbors, or improving learning experiences, these bright students are applying AI with purpose to offer practical solutions to community challenges. Their work is a powerful reminder that America’s next generation of leaders is not just preparing for the future but is already building it.”
