Kline Statement on May Jobs Report
WASHINGTON, D.C.,
June 4, 2010
Rep. John Kline (R-MN), the U.S. House Education and Labor Committee’s senior Republican member, issued the following statement today after the U.S. Department of Labor announced 41,000 private sector jobs were created in the month of May while 15 million Americans remained without work:
“For more than a year deficit spending has accelerated at an unprecedented speed, and the economic uncertainty of government expansion has loomed over job creators. Despite the welcome news 41,000 private sector jobs were created last month, a dramatic spike in temporary Census workers paid by American taxpayers will not deliver a sustainable economic recovery. # # # |
