Kline Statement on May Jobs Report
WASHINGTON, D.C.,
June 3, 2016
House Education and the Workforce Committee Chairman John Kline (R-MN) issued the following statement after the Department of Labor released unemployment data for May 2016: This jobs report is deeply troubling and the latest sign that our country is heading in the wrong direction. Millions of Americans are being left behind in an anemic economy that has failed to deliver the opportunities working families desperately need. We have to do better and put this country back on a path toward prosperity. That requires a change in course from the president’s failed regulatory policies that are crushing workers, small businesses, and entrepreneurs, and it’s why House Republicans are focused on a pro-growth agenda that will lead to more good-paying jobs and a stronger economy for all Americans. # # # |
