Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), the Republican Leader of the House Committee on Education and Labor, issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s budget proposal:

“The spending and policy atrocities passed this year by Democrats in Congress pale in comparison to President Biden’s newly released budget. Not surprisingly, an all too familiar theme persists under this administration: Gross negligence in delivering on the priorities of the American people.

“Fiscally responsible policies, a dynamic and growing workforce, and unparalleled opportunities in education are what the American people demand right now. Unfortunately, President Biden believes that hamstringing hardworking taxpayers and families is a more viable approach. His budget is nothing more than a costly sham that will bankrupt the country even further. The American people deserve more than this egregious abdication of leadership.”
