Today, Education and Labor Committee Republican Leader Virginia Foxx (R-NC) issued the following statement after the Department of Health and Human Services and the White House unveiled their drug pricing scheme:
 
“The costs of prescription drugs are a major concern for workers and families, especially now as Biden’s failed economic policies are raising the cost of just about everything.
 
“We know what unprecedented government interference and unfettered spending does to the economy. Look at the cost of gas or groceries. Do we want to inflict that damage on our health care system? The same system that accomplished life-saving scientific, technological, and logistical feats during the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
“While Republicans are offering free-market solutions to bolster our nation’s robust, and innovative health care system, Democrats are eager to push for more government control and mandates that will eliminate choice and competition, make America more reliant on China, and jeopardize investment and access to future cures.”
