Chair Owens to Tackle Foreign Influence on College Campuses — Tomorrow at 10:15 A.M.

WASHINGTON – Tomorrow, at 10:15 a.m., the Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development, chaired by Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT), will hold a hearing titled “Exposing the Dangers of the Influence of Foreign Adversaries on College Campuses.

“Emboldened foreign adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party are using America’s colleges and universities to subvert the nation’s interests. Disappointingly, the Biden administration has failed to view foreign influence as a serious threat, freezing all investigations into whether institutions of higher education are being transparent and reporting foreign gifts and contracts,” said Chairman Owens. “Committee Republicans will use this hearing to highlight how foreign adversaries are abusing America’s academic system to steal sensitive intellectual property, limit free expression, control curriculum, and indoctrinate our students.”
