Chair Kiley to Hold Hearing on OSHA’s Regulatory Overreach and Skewed Priorities

WASHINGTON — On Wednesday, July 24, at 10:15 a.m., the Subcommittee on Workforce Protections, chaired by Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-CA), will hold a hearing titled “Safeguarding Workers and Employers from OSHA Overreach and Skewed Priorities.”

“It is critical that OSHA acknowledge and implement feedback from the employers and job creators who are affected by its top-down mandates to ensure its policies are practicable in the field,” said Chairman Kiley. "We must ensure that any new regulations do not overburden the regulated community with prescriptive mandates. Meanwhile, little work has been completed by the agency on regulatory priorities that are essential to safeguarding workers in high-hazard industries. This hearing will allow the Committee to hold Biden’s OSHA accountable to ensure the agency is fulfilling its duty without harming job creators and workers.”
