WATCH: Foxx Slams Teachers Unions for Keeping Children Out of School

Today, Republican Leader of the Education and Labor Committee Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) joined NewsMax's Bob Sellers and Heather Childers to discuss the American Federation of Teachers' President Randi Weingarten's sudden reversal in support of school reopenings this fall, calling out its self-serving policies and control of the Biden administration. Here are the highlights:

ON TEACHERS UNIONS REWRITING HISTORY:

"You know, these comments by Randi Weingarten just amuse me. Here they are saying they want the students back in the fall, full-time, I think she realizes that train has left already and they better try to grab on to it because the American people want the children back in school and the unions are the ones that have been keeping them out of school."

ON UNION CONTROL OF THE  BIDEN ADMINISTRATION:

"The unions have had way too much control. They control the President, they control the Department of Education, they control many of the local schools... I've said this before, the best thing to come out of COVID has been the exposing of the unions and their control over the education system in many states... the unions have way, way too much control over everything that's happening in this administration. It's not just education, it's everywhere."
